When Åbro Bryggeri decided to reinvent their beer brand "The Bear" by renaming it to “The Bäär”, they turned to us to create an activation around this. To put this name change in the spotlight, we wanted to play on their already established Swinglish way of communicating, into a film concept.

The Bäär is a light lager with a humorous Swinglish tone that stands out in the budget segment. Åbro Bryggeri was looking for a creative PR or guerrilla activation that would reinforce the brand’s connection to Swinglish and humor. Together with creatives Johan Holmström and Staffan Lamm, we landed in a film concept. It centers around a Swedish man with poor English skills who travel to England in an attempt to talk to people and learn about the culture. Despite the language barrier, sharing a Bäär becomes a bonding moment.

Together with director Sara Haag and Bleck Film, we created these films taking place in Brackenvale Hall, Yorkshire, England.
