Explaining Sylva by Stora Enso

Stora Enso asked us to help explain Sylva, a modular building system based on mass timber.

Sylva is a kit of prefabricated wooden elements such as walls, floors, roofs and beams that can be combined to create low-carbon buildings. But while the system offers huge possibilities for architects and developers, it can also be complex to explain. Both in terms of structure, finishes and the many ways it can be used.

To make it easier to understand, we created a 3D rendered film that visually shows how the system works and how the different components come together to form a building.

The film was developed to work across website, marketing material and trade fairs, helping Stora Enso communicate the concept in a more inspiring and accessible way.

The project was produced together with 3D studio Bruto, based on architectural models developed in collaboration with Note Design Studio. Motion graphics was created by Florencia Vilardebó.
